The Troupe Amani was created in 1998 in Tampa, Florida, by Mahsati Janan and Cerice to embody professionalism in teaching and performance. All of the members were dancers witht eh utmost respect for the cultures and people who support this dance form. The Troupe Amani was retired in 2006 with the relocation of Mahsati to Asheville, North Carolina, but both Mahsati and Cerice are continuing their dance journeys with separate performance companies.
